We were so impressed with the customer service we received from the minute we decided to call Mermaid Water. We were also impressed they showed up when they said they would and on time! We didn't know what kind of system we needed, just that we were tired of having iron stains on our tubs & toilets & having very hard well water. Randy went over all our options & helped us find the best system for our house & budget. They came out the very next week (they gave us a 2-hour window and were actually early) and installed our new Kinetico water system within 1.5 hrs as estimated. The team they sent (Josh & his assistant -sorry so bad with names)were so knowledgeable & efficient. They both were very friendly and even liked our dogs! I'm not great at reviews but I just had to take the time to let everyone know you can't go wrong with Mermaid Water and we are very satisfied with our entire experience.

"Terrific small company that sells Kinetico (hands-down-the-best) reverse osmosis drinking filter system. The service tech was gracious and knowledgeable, came out to Gambrills, MD within a couple of days to evaluate my water, and installed my new system within a week. Excellent service, very professional. Pricey, but I love everything about this "Cadillac" of RO units."

"First and foremost I want to acknowledge the Exceptional customer service from Russ, an installer/repair guy at Mermaid Water. Due to some special requests I had for my installation, I had to have installers out here 3 times. Russ was here the first time and did a great job and was extremely professional and very easy to work with. The second guy that came out was ok but didn't do the job right. I requested Russ to come out and fix the issue from the previous guy and again, Russ did a great job. It is rare to find someone as genuinely interested in what the customer wants and in ensuring everything is as expected before leaving. Thanks for the great work, Russ.

Overall my experience with Mermaid was excellent and the water softening system I had added to my home has worked great. I had it installed over six months ago and would highly recommend Mermaid for others to use."

"I can't understand why anyone uses Culligan. Mermaid put a whole house softener in my restaurant after my second water heater blew up from scale buildup. Culligan had a softener in here but every time I called them, a different person showed up, charged me"

Solved my hard water problem in about 4 hours!

"Solved my hard water problem in about 4 hours! The previous owner of the house installed a whole home filtration system, but it wasn't stopping the huge amount of chlorine or hardness from Spotsylvania County water. Nick, the installer, went over every section of the system to help me understand how it works, and how to maintain the system, which is minimal - open the lid, if the salt is low, add some more...simple. A small leak happened overnight and he was back the next day to fix it. I would definitely recommend Mermaid to my friends or anyone who is looking for a water-softening system."

I've had Mermaid Water Kinetico for 8 years now and their customer service has been excellent. My water tastes great and my friends love drinking my water, they were so surprised at how clean it tasted. My representative Randy is a down-to-earth people person and is very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for better water and better health. If I could give them 10 stars if that were an option.

"My first call to Mermaid Water was to Lisa she was so professional, and friendly. The price I got from Mermaid was less than half of another company. Kody came out first and tested my water and mentioned what he thought I should get. I did ask for more info and Brent came out and explained to me how things work and his thoughts. My next contact was with Becca who is also amazing she went out of her way to get the installation as soon as possible. Thus leads me to Jason. This man has amazing customer service. He explained everything and how to operate my equipment. Jason went way above and beyond what was asked and expected of the company. Jason took the time to treat my home as if it were his own. He even took the time to let my dog out to pee....... Jason spent hours and hours at my home making sure things were just right. After making sure things were exactly as I thought they should and only then the installation complete. Thank you, Lisa, Becca, Brent, Kody, and Jason Howard. You will not go wrong having Mermaid Water in your home for ANY of your water needs Thank you so much."

I recently called Mermaid Water about a problem with a small water heater upstairs. They determined it was the anode rod (inside the water heater). They sent out a tech who installed the anode rod in a timely manner. Jason was so professional and nice. The price was reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

We have hard, acidic well water in our house and, as a result, have had numerous problems with our well and our water system (plus every appliance in our house that uses water). Our water stopped working last night--AGAIN--so we called Mermaid. They sent out a technician first thing this morning. He did a thorough check of our water system and found that the well pump is not working, so we will have to call another company for that service. Mermaid's technician, Nick, was knowledgeable and professional and explained each check he performed. He took a lot of time to diagnose the problem but did not charge a service fee since he wasn't able to correct the problem. Great service, would definitely recommend this company.
